It's not early for American Blues Theater's production of It's A Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago! which earned a pair of Jeff nominations for Production (Midsize) and Ensemble this year. We had a conversation with Director Wendy Whiteside and Foley Artist Shawn J. Goudie on the set of the live radio show during the run. In the middle of the run of Mamma Mia at the Marriott Lincolnshire, we had a fascinating conversation with Super Trouper Karl Hamilton and posted a Q & A with director Rachel Rockwell. Mamma Mia received multiple nominations including one of two for Meghan Murphy - Supporting Actress in Mamma Mia and Actress in a Revue in Drury Lane's Smokey Joe's Cafe.
Paramount Theater's lofty production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Evan Tyrone Martin as Jesus of Nazerth was recognized with two Jeff nominations including Supporting Actress nominee Felicia Boswell. We had a very personal and profound conversation with Martin who received a nomination for Actor in a Revue this year ... and can be seen now in the cast of HAIR at the Mercury Theater - our PicksInSix this week.
